Exopolysaccharides (EPS): new active ingredients for the cosmetics industry.

 

- C2: exhibits a powerful antioxidant activity (it improves the GSH/GSSG ratio by about 15 times) and significantly stimulates endogenous keratin synthesis (more than 40% compared to control). Due to its properties, it is especially indicated for the formulation of hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, etc.).

- C3: It has excellent antioxidant activity, scavenging free radicals from cells, and is also able to counteract the damaging effects of UV radiation (up to almost 60% more compared to the control). These properties make it particularly suitable for use in skin care, anti-aging and sunscreen formulations.

Drug Discovery Libraries: We have a variable number of compounds already synthesized for use in the research of new drugs in areas such as:

We have also obtained some hits, compounds that have demonstrated in vitro activity , in the areas mentioned above. These hits are available for licensing or for co-development agreements with interested companies.

Drug Discovery Services: includes the design, synthesis and evaluation of candidate molecules to interact with pharmacological targets. Our team has:

- Infrastructure: including the most modern techniques of chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry, high throughput analysis, high throughput experimentation, structural elucidation and intellectual property analysis.

- Extensive experience.

- Know-how: organic synthesis, biotechnology and biocatalysis processes through the use of own enzymes or with living microorganisms.

Inkemia offers you: flexibility (up to 4 complementary approaches for the synthesis of compounds); added value (we not only provide the desired compounds but also the complete route necessary for subsequent pilot and industrial scale-up); ease of producing any type of enzyme, native, recombinant or mutant; extensive experience and knowledge in analysis and synthesis.

The Licensing Out Department also carries out Co-development Agreements with other companies through which IUCT contributes its R&D compounds and other companies carry out in vitro/in vivo efficacy and tolerance studies with said compounds. 

In case of success, the Intellectual Property as well as any income derived from the license and expenses are shared 50%.

Advanced Biofuels :

- S50: Europe's first economically viable new advanced biofuel obtained from crude glycerine or any triglyceride source such as vegetable oils, used frying oil, animal fats, etc.

- Bioheating oil: fuel for boilers in production processes that require a large amount of energy (cement plants, asphalt manufacturers, distilleries, chemical plants, etc.). It substantially improves air quality when compared to traditional fuels such as fuel oil.

- Glycerin to biodiesel (FAME) technology: We have developed a technology that improves the profitability of biodiesel manufacturers by transforming raw glycerin, a waste product of little economic value obtained in the biodiesel production process, into biodiesel, a biofuel commonly used in road transport.
